With a resource base over 300 people, we work as a strong team delivering major traffic management solutions for utilities, building construction companies and local authorities.
Our Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the Commercial Manager; helping to drive efficiencies; managing costs and regional performance for the business. This role will see you take control of all financial aspects of the project; overseeing all commercial & contractual matters. You will deliver desired margin return utilising high standards of commercial acumen. Whilst identifying, recording and tracking, both risks and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone to manage and monitor project costs including weekly P&L reporting
We are looking for someone to review contract documents and advise on any issues
We are looking for someone to track the progress and cash flow forecast information
We are looking for someone to produce and review commercial forecasts, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVRs) and Project Finance Reports
We are looking for someone to take responsibility for Subcontract Management; including Subcontract Forecasting, raising Subcontractor Orders and Negotiating Subcontract terms
We are looking for someone to prepare subcontract documents, enquiries and assessment of quotations
We are looking for someone to place subcontract orders, agreement and certification of subcontract valuations, invoice, subcontract payments and final account agreements
We are looking for someone to be responsible for the management of the change control process, risk and value management
We are looking for someone to manage and track project changes, variations and/or notices
We are looking for someone to assess and value variations and compensation events
We are looking for someone to prepare and submit interim valuations and payment applications to clients, along with the agreement of final accounts
We are looking for someone to attend risk review, progress and commercial meetings on-site with the Client
We are looking for someone to be actively involved with tenders and pricing
We are looking for someone to assist Credit Control with cash recovery and forecasting
We are looking for someone to support the operational team in daily commercial and contractual aspects
